Bun Frenzy in London

The remarkable corporate members of the Friday Bun Consp— Society kindly delighted us with a very visual proof of the existence of their Bun Days.

Bun Frenzy

It’s hard to imagine anything that could more clearly show the Concept that may or may not be found in the core of the Society. But I shall say no more of the Concept, for there are things that are best unspoken. Keep up the good work over there, fellow members! Enjoy your Buns, remember to have fun!

I would like to express my overflowing joy and immense pride in getting the fine people of LCN from the beautiful City of London to join our prestigious society.

I have to admit that I was a bit confused when I first heard that a group of scientists developing complicated futuristic technology had applied for FBS membership. Everyone with elementary knowledge of bad science fiction knows what nanotechnology is really meant for: World Domination. Tiny machines that supersede humans without anyone really noticing – until it’s too late. I assumed that you had found out about our plans for world domination and decided to jump on the bandwagon*.

So I had my suspicions. But then I read your pledge about not developing Nano Buns (in spite of multiple requests). That assured me that we truly share the same Pure Vision of Bun Integrity. I am therefore more than happy to welcome you as members of FBS. Let your Fridays be bunful!

*) BTW, I don’t really mind if you use our society as a springboard in your possible quest for global supremacy. I only expect that all FBS Founders get seats in the impending Council of Galactic Overlords once you’ve achieved that.

Just wondering about what Tero wrote earlier:

Actually I find it quite easy to imagine something that could more clearly show the Concept that may or may not be found in the core of the Society. One such thing would be a picture of the Concept (that may or may not be found in the core of the Society). Here it is:

If you fail to see the above picture it can mean four things:

    A. You are not ready to see the Concept
    B. The Concept does not want to be seen
    C. The Concept does not exist (not in the core of the Society, at least)
    D. You are blind

  3. Tero P Says:

Hm, perhaps there’s also option D: the Concept is too complicated to bee presented in a two-dimensional form.

  4. erkki Says:

LOL. Apparently the original option D was true in Tero’s case.

But why should bees be able to comprehend the Concept – regardless of the form of presentation?

  5. Tero P Says:

You know, normally I would just make up a clumsy explanation telling why I did not do a mistake, and that all I wrote was intentionally put in that form. This time, however, I do not even try. It should be *obvious* that there can be more than one option “D” – who are we to limit their numbers? The universe can well be crammed with option Ds without us ever knowing that, and here you are laughing at me for adding just a single one into the selection. You should be ashamed.

As for the issue with bees: I’m just assuming that most of the readers of our blog will in their next existence reach a new, better physical form, like a bee or similar. I could have referred to dragonflies or wasps as well, but as bee was the option D in my mental selection of insects, I chose to use that one.

  6. erkki Says:

Explanation approved. Sorry about laughing at you.

Fascinating, that theory of yours. If our readers are destined to become bees, it is quite possible (likely, even) that some of our readers have already been born again as bees. I hope they still know how to read English and have proper internet access. We wouldn’t want to lose any readers due to reincarnation.

BZZZZ BZZZ* to all our past, current and future readers!
