Farewell Bun of Founder Janne

The Friday Bun Society is happy to announce that we are awfully sorry on behalf of our beloved Founder, Janne, who will no longer eat Buns. Although the end of his personal existence has not quite yet taken place, the Society is sure to lose him, as he is about to cross the border line and enter the realm of hatred, chaos, invasion, and fat; with no guarantee nor hope of ever being able to return. Be brave, our fellow Founder, on your journey.

Tiramisù in Düsseldorf

Last week I had the opportunity to enjoy this delicious tiramisù after an equally good pepper steak meal. I didn’t note the name of the place but it was a Spanish-Argentinian restaurant in the old city (Altstadt) part of Düsseldorf in Germany.

I’m a novice when it comes to i tiramisù, but I think I still recognize a tasty dessert when I eat one. In general, I tend to like bun-like delicacies more than cake-like. Despite this being the latter, my taste buds hailed it as one of the best things they’ve come across for a while. Definitely a new favorite.

I hereby suggest forming a Thursday Tiramisù Society.

Bun of the Far East

A “Brownie Slice” eaten in the Changi International Airport, Singapore. There was a small mix-up at first, for the plates containing Strawberry Rolls and Brownie Slices had changed places, and I almost got a delicious-looking, rolled red bun-thing instead of this one. Actually, that might have been better – the yellowish areas in the Brownie turned out to be some kind of nuts; not vanilla sauce as I was assuming. But well, despite that, this was also well worth it’s price of about two euros.
