Bunny Beach

Beach bun

I visited the Kaukajärvi bathing beach today. I was happy to find out that the small kiosk on the beach was selling buns and coffee. The bun itself wasn’t too special, but it’s the idea that matters. Friday Bun Society hereby gives the city of Tampere a big nod for raising bun-awareness at her beaches.

Go Tampere! I’m sure you won’t see accomplishments such as this in Turku.

The Bun seems to belong to the ‘cinnamon spin’ variant of the Domestic Bun race. I think it’s quite suitable for the conditions in the beach area, as it’s not that pretentious about it’s environment.

I believe this individual had been stored cryogenically and then warmed up in an oven prior to serving. I suspect it was actually Bunus Industrialis. This is completely acceptable in a beach setting, but maybe some day we will see small bakeries on beaches and everywhere else so that people don’t have to resort to semi-prepared buns.
